2025

Board of Advisors Formed & Innovation Lab Established

Envent formed a Board of Advisors to guide long-term growth and launched the Envent Innovation Lab to advance vapor recovery, emissions monitoring, and automation technologies

2023

Pipeline Evacuation Service Line Added

Envent expanded its capabilities by adding a Pipeline Evacuation Service Line with a fleet of 10 mobile units supporting natural gas pipeline operators across North America.

2021

Remote Vapor Control Systems Introduced

Envent launched its Remote Vapor Control Systems Platform, enabling real-time monitoring and performance tracking to improve safety and compliance.

2020

Safety Milestone Achieved

Envent surpassed one billion gallons of treated effluent while maintaining a TRIR of 0.0, reinforcing its reputation for exceptional safety and reliability.

2018

Industry-First Marine Vapor Control Certification

Envent became the first mobile provider in North America to achieve full U.S. Coast Guard certification for its EMECS/EDSU systems, setting the benchmark for mobile ship and barge vapor control.

2015

National Expansion: Houston & Bayonne Offices

New offices in Houston, Texas, and Bayonne, New Jersey, gave Envent coast-to-coast service coverage, enabling faster mobilization and regional expertise.

2012

Expansion into the Rocky Mountains

Envent established its Rocky Mountains regional office, growing to 55 mobile units and enhancing national coverage for water treatment, degassing, and vapor control.

2008

Northern California Office Opens

With 20 employees and rising demand, Envent opened its Northern California office, supporting the Bay Area’s refinery and terminal network with rapid-response capabilities.

2007

Extra Mile Award from BP

Treated over 30,000,000 gallons of refinery sour water using advanced mobile air floatation, scrubbers and degassing units.

2005

100 Million Gallons Treated

Envent surpassed 100 million gallons of treated water and expanded its fleet to 13 mobile units, serving refineries and terminals across the Western U.S.

2000

Launch of Tank Degassing & Vapor Control Services

Driven by new South Coast AQMD regulations, Envent introduced its tank degassing and vapor control division, pioneering mobile vapor management systems that reshaped industry practices.

1997

First Employees Hired

Envent welcomed its first two employees, establishing the foundation for what would become North America’s leading provider of mobile vapor control and water treatment solutions.

1996

Tom Kerscher Joins Envent

Tom Kerscher joined Envent as co-owner after leaving Unocal, bringing engineering and refinery operations expertise that helped accelerate the company’s growth.

1994

First Major Water Treatment Project

Envent completed its first major water treatment project, marking the company’s entry into the industrial environmental services sector.

1992

Founded in Los Angeles, California

Steve Sellinger founded Envent Corporation while working at Unocal’s Los Angeles Refinery, recognizing the growing demand for mobile environmental solutions in vapor control and water treatment.
