Envent Corporation is the premier national provider of on-site water treatment solutions for pipeline hydrostatic testing within the petrochemical, refining, and midstream sectors. We specialize in the complex remediation required to convert contaminated test water into permit-compliant discharge.
As the operator of the largest mobile water treatment fleet in North America, Envent delivers engineered systems designed to remove specific contaminants while adhering to strict discharge permit requirements for water quality, volume, and flow velocity. Since 1992, we have provided the technical expertise necessary to manage the environmental risks associated with high-volume hydrotest water disposal.
” They provided timely communication and, with the support of their teams, contributed to a safe Turnaround. Their quick response to events helped us maintain our commitments to safety and the environment. I would not hesitate to recommend them to lead crews on other jobs.”
“They deliver exceptional performance, over and beyond our expectations contractually.”
Based on this experience, I am comfortable recommending Envent Corporation for any degassing, vapor control, or related services. Their technical capability and consistent performance make them a dependable service provider.
Envent Corporation completed their scope ahead of schedule and under budget. Their planning, resource management, and execution met the needs of the project.
Safety remained a consistent focus during the project. Envent Corporation’s approach to identifying and addressing potential risks contributed to a safe work environment for personnel.
Envent Corporation mobilized promptly and reached the required degas threshold within 18 hours of startup, prior to any tank washing or cleaning.
Envent Corporation demonstrated professionalism and provided reliable engineering and operational support throughout the job.
Every pipeline and tank hydrotest project presents unique chemical profiles and volume challenges. Envent’s hydrotest water treatment services cover the entire project lifecycle from initial permitting to final discharge reporting. Our engineers design site-specific treatment trains that address:
Navigating the regulatory landscape for NPDES discharge requires more than just clean water; it requires a defensible data trail. Envent acts as a technical liaison between the operator and regulatory agencies like the EPA, TCEQ, or ECCC.
Envent provides mobilization for terminals, refineries, and pipeline stations. We bridge the gap between operational needs and environmental mandates by working directly with your environmental engineers to navigate the complexities of NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) and POTW (Publicly Owned Treatment Works) permitting.
Our team manages the critical path of your water treatment project:
For engineering firms and project managers, Envent serves as a technical partner rather than a simple equipment provider. We offer deep-tier support for researching equipment specifications and drafting Safe Work Plans and Operations Manuals. Our project managers prioritize safety and precision, allowing your team to focus on the integrity of the pipeline while we handle the complexities of the water cycle.
Beyond equipment mobilization, we provide specialized Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) support to verify your water management strategy is optimized for both cost and compliance. Our team assists in developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and site-specific layout plans that integrate seamlessly into refinery or terminal infrastructure. By providing data-backed media life-cycle projections and flow-rate analysis, we help project managers mitigate the risks of downtime or breakthrough, keeping high-volume hydrotests on schedule and under budget.
The Problem: A refinery needed to stop a mobile MTBE plume from spreading into the local water table. The project required a system to pull both groundwater and soil vapors at high vacuum to halt the plume’s migration.
What We Did: Envent deployed a Multi-Phase Extraction (MPE) system paired with a Mobile Thermal Oxidizer (EMTOS). This setup uses high-vacuum pumps to extract liquid and vapor, routing gases to the oxidizer for destruction at 1,400°F with 99.99% efficiency.
The Result: Since 2008, the system has halted the plume and kept the site in 100% compliance. By destroying toxins at the source, Envent continues to protect local groundwater with over 15 years of proven reliability.
The Problem: A manufacturer found a leak in a pressurized 12-inch propane pipeline. They needed to clear a 16-mile segment (12,000 barrels) fast, but flaring was banned due to strict emission rules and proximity to populated areas.
What We Did: Envent arrived within hours with a 20 MMBTU/hr Mobile Thermal Oxidizer (EMTOS) and dual vaporizers. We converted the liquid propane into vapor to fuel the oxidizer, destroying it at 1,600°F with 99.99% efficiency and zero visible flame.
The Result: The project was finished 4x faster than flaring, marking the fastest documented 16-mile degas in the U.S. We met all EPA standards with zero reportable emissions, allowing repairs to start ahead of schedule without community impact.
Yes. Our turnkey service includes the provision, loading, and extraction of all media such as activated carbon, zeolite, and organoclay. Once the project is complete, we manage the manifest and proper disposal of the spent media.
Our mobile and skid-mounted units are designed for rapid deployment and versatility. We can configure treatment trains to fit within the limited space available at refinery units, terminal racks, or narrow pipeline rights-of-way.
