Challenge
Emergency Response. To control refinery vapor stream containing 10,000 ppmv of H2S in a VOC stream from a vessel pressured to 300 PSIG.
Solution
Envent engineering team designed a system to scrubber the vapors from of H2S using an ESCRUB Recirculating Scrubber Unit with ESCRUBH2S chemicals followed by a Envent Mobile Thermal Oxidizer System (EMTOS). Due to the high pressure and risk of exposure, we engineered and installed a pressure valve system and operated the system in fresh air.
Benefit
The project was completed in 24 hours without incident. Envent received a commendation letter from the plant manager.
