A refinery company on the West Coast needed to de-inventory a tank of Arabian Crude with unexpectedly high hydrogen sulfide levels. After receiving multiple odor complaints from within the refinery and one odor complaint from the public, the client knew they needed to resolve the issue immediately. Due to Envent’s immediate mobilization for the project, the client saved at least $100,000.
A refinery wished for a bullet tank of Ammonia to be degassed. Due to limited space availability equipment that provided a small footprint was needed. The tank also needed to be degassed as quickly as possible so an inspection and repairs could be made. Envent was able to degas the bullet tank without any infraction of the degassing permits for the facility.
A sour water tank high in H2S needed vapor control provided during a turnaround while maintenance was done in the surrounding area. The H2S needed to be reduced to a safe level while the vapors were treated and vented to atmosphere.
Amajor refinery in California was to degas a tank filled with crude oil, and blanketed with nitrogen. A solution was needed in order to degas the tank, as well as control the vapors on the vacuum truck when filling. Envent was also able to save the customer thousands in potential fines, as well as avoiding a potential product release.
A national pipeline logistics company with several pipelines crossing Southern California regularly needs to perform maintenance and repairs. Project scopes range from one vacuum truck removing a few barrels of product from a single valve box over a few hours to full blown, multi-line segment drain-downs, nitrogen sweeps, integrity tests, and pipeline reinstatement. Envent’s temporary tank systems can be set up adjacent to residential areas without any concern for odors leaving the facility.
A Westlake Louisiana refinery required vapor control on their tank while a robotic crawler made entry into the tank. The company was trying to recover $10,000,000 worth of catalyst that had carried over from their Catalytic Cracking Unit. Envent was also requested to provide vacuum rated carbon containers.
